House TalkN is a fun lookiloo at houses, houses, houses. It will answer pressing questions like, "When folks build a McMansion on a small lot, what are they compensating for?" or "Was the real estate agent drunk when they staged this house?" or "Why don't the Smiths' ever leave their drapes open when I am on a harmless walk-by?"

HouseTalkN's Top Dining Rooms!

Ok, so "HouseTalkN's Top....(fill in the blank)" has apparently become a series.
This is hard hitting journalism, folks.
OR, this series is fueling my addiction to Pinterest.  Whatever.

Here are my top DINING ROOMS!

This is my "stager" working on a tablescape shoot!

How happy is this dining room?

Fun for a GNO or bridal shower.

"Tablescape" is such a fancy word- I feel hoyty toyty when I throw it around, but I can't help myself.  Tablescape, tablescape, TABLESCAPE!  (This is what I've come to.)

Fancy, casual, seasonal, fun, whimsical- you can have it all!  You can change out a tablescape on a daily basis if you feel so psychotic moved.

Every Thursday, I rush over to "Between Naps On The Porch" to obsess admire her "Tablescape Thursday" series.  Check it out and repeat after me "TABLESCAPE!"

  2. Tablescape is pretty fancy. Wait, now I'm thinking about the word manscape. Weird. Anyway, take Mr. Arch, breed him with a corner bench and a huge wooden rectangular table and that is my dream DR. Plus a huge window for lots of light. Mhmm. Picture THAT manscape. I mean, tablescape. Dangit...

  5. I have a whole bunch of glass candle holders of varying heights. Your picture gives me inspiration. I've been looking for a way to use them on a tablescape and that one picture with all the white candle holders gives me direction!

  7. I love the "big girl" dining room the most!!! That is almost the exact way I picture our next dining room! Very soft yet sophisticated...love it! I still can't get the hang of that Pinterest. I have tried, but failed miserably. I'll keep working on it, though! Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for sharing the cool photos!

  11. I'm not a dining room fan. Ours is currently a playroom that's going to be turned into a homework/school project room. Have you found any rustic/country tablescapes? Would LOVE to get ideas if I ever did have a dining room! ;)
