House TalkN is a fun lookiloo at houses, houses, houses. It will answer pressing questions like, "When folks build a McMansion on a small lot, what are they compensating for?" or "Was the real estate agent drunk when they staged this house?" or "Why don't the Smiths' ever leave their drapes open when I am on a harmless walk-by?"

Our Houses Hold Our Stories...

Last year, my friend sent me this clip and I have cried my eyes out viewed it no less than 762 times.

I watched it again, yesterday.

One of my kiddos had one of those days. In our house, if one person has one of those days, we all have one of those days.

Our house has been the backdrop - for the good days, the "it's time to go to the hospital" days, the funny days, the grumpy days, the "clean that room or I might have to kill you" days and for those days.  It's our soft spot to fall.

Here's to all of our "ordinary days" to come.

  1. As a Mother who's children are now 40 and 43 this really hit my heart. The ordinary days ARE the ones to remember and treasure. If I could give ONE piece of advice to new Mothers it would be to JOURNAL...each and every day. I sure wish someone had told me that. Thanks for sharing this. It is beautiful. XO, Pinky
