A Glam Mantle...

You say mantle, I say mantel. I am embarrassed to share how much time I spent researching the correct spelling, only to find out that both spellings are correct. I'm going to go with "mantle".  If you are a "mantel" person, be patient. 


We are going on our annual tree hunt & chop this weekend.  Once the tree is trimmed, I will add greenery to every mantle, table, child and window in the house!

I had a burst of domestic energy while pregnant with my 4th and made these stockings...yes, I did.

Do you do a themed mantle or just go wild and throw in everything you can fit?

  5. Super cool the way it looks so different with the sunlight. It looks great now and I'm sure will be even prettier with a few pine boughs. We don't do anything themed for our Christmas decorations. This year, we put Advent candles and two nativities on the mantle.

  8. Luv it - we have two live trees - his & mine! Mine very simple - only white lights and glass icicles -his multi lights and all different ornaments !!! Main floor of house simple w/lots of white lights including mantle. Lower level all sorts of colors. Everyone is happy oh yea, I'm not allowed to touch his tree!!!

  14. I am so traditional it's sickening -- a lot of family heirlooms. Every ornament has some personal meaning so I just do a rearrangement of the same old every year;)

    Only the tree with lights is up so far since we are very busy with our Christmas choir, rehearsing and now our first concert tonight.

    You'd love my walls -- sand cherry wine and deep green walls -- dark wood everywhere -- naturally Christmassy :)
