House TalkN is a fun lookiloo at houses, houses, houses. It will answer pressing questions like, "When folks build a McMansion on a small lot, what are they compensating for?" or "Was the real estate agent drunk when they staged this house?" or "Why don't the Smiths' ever leave their drapes open when I am on a harmless walk-by?"

Detective Baretta...Fashion Friday

I enjoy hats.
I enjoy sunglasses.
Both cover a multitude of sins.
Got bags under your eyes? Sunglasses are there for you.
Roots the size of Texas? A zippy hat is your best friend.
I was rocking the bags and the roots this morning so I went for my go-to supplies...a Panama hat and shades.
This is the look I was going for:

As I was leaving, my loving husband called "Have a great day, Detective Baretta!"
Being much younger than he, I was unfamiliar with Detective Baretta. I assumed he was referring to this kind of look:

Boy, was I surprised to find these pictures when I googled "Detective Baretta, sunglasses"!

I handled this the way I handle all things- with class and dignity.

  1. Well, I have been known to throw on a hat. While I believe Ii look EXACTLY like Stephanie Zimbalist on "Remington Steele," in truth I look more like the queen mother.

  2. Hilarious. I especially love the shot of the good detective apparently wearing some underwear on the outside of his pants. What is that? I think you look chic.

  3. You wear it well! My afro won't fit under one of those hats, or under most, which is unfortunate because most days are bad hair days 'round here. You're rockin' it though!

    1. We don't have 'fro's but we are the large headed family. It's amazing that I don't topple over.
