House TalkN is a fun lookiloo at houses, houses, houses. It will answer pressing questions like, "When folks build a McMansion on a small lot, what are they compensating for?" or "Was the real estate agent drunk when they staged this house?" or "Why don't the Smiths' ever leave their drapes open when I am on a harmless walk-by?"

A Glam Tablescape!

It has been so dreary here that I thought a little glam might be in order for this week's tablescape!

I spy with my little eye a puppy on my white couch!

Because nothing says "GLAM" like a paper napkin!

I got a teeny tad bit carried away with the mercury glass when it was on clearance at Target!

I've taken to adding a drink glass next to the wine glass...saves a step later!
What are you doing to glam it up on these long winter days?

  2. One can never go overboard when one finds mercury glass on clearance, darling. Beautiful table setting! You will find so many uses for those great items. They look so pretty the way you have them now for your winter table setting. I have those same paper napkins...my daughter and I get a chuckle out of them whenever we use them.

  7. I have a transfer I ironed on everything a few years ago -- "Too much of a good thing is Wonderful!" That said, I think it looks juuust right.

Or as I always say, "Too much is never enough."

    Enough with the pithy sayings.

  13. Vogue! Nothing wrong with goin' a little nuts on the mercury glass...it's always so pretty and definitely denotes glamour! I love the napkins. I have the coasters with that (and some other VERY crazy, sometimes inappropriate!) on them. LOVE those!!! I also have a mug and apron. I guess I went a little crazy on that!!! :-) Your photos are pretty. The black & white is very film noir! Have a great weekend and a fun Fat Tuesday!!!
