I am definitely the "Vintage meets Shabby Chic" version...as I have "Pride and Prejudice" playing in the background as I work. --Erin M. (not one of the friends with good taste, though)
ReplyDeleteOh, Erin. That sounds dreamy! "He's bugging me" and "Can I puh-lease have a snack?!?" are playing in the background as I work!
DeleteWhere's the "Covered with week-old mail and kitty pawprints with a few dustbunnies thrown in for good measure" look? Because that's the one that would go best with my decor.
ReplyDeleteDust bunnies are a staple of decorating!
DeleteBeachy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all three looks. Just LOVE the desk overall. Two levels, lots of cubbies, chunky, curvy legs. I think I have desk envy.
ReplyDeleteEnvy away! Thank you for popping by, Ann!
DeleteWho woulda thought you could have that many looks out of one desk! I really think the vintage shabby chic suits this desk. It looks so nice:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sugar!
DeleteI also suffer from decorating ADHD so I can totally relate. I gotta go with the glam version; love it!
ReplyDeleteGood to know that I am not alone, Brooke!
Deleteok...first I love the desk!! First look doesn't do anything for me...then I saw 2 and thought LOVE it!...then I saw three...and thought....oooohhh really love it....but then I went back to 2 and still love it! LOL! Either 2 or 3 in my book!

I'm your newest follower...please stop by for a visit sometime!
I'm with you, Sharon! Thanks for popping by!
Deleteimpossible to choose - love the desk, accessories, all of it!
ReplyDeleteAll the looks are nice, but I like the Shabby Chic meets Vintage look. Good balance there with the tall candlestick and the beautiful picture.

Thanks, Audrey!
DeleteI am a NEW blogger - and I love all the looks. At first I liked the light reflected in from the mirror over the desk, but when I read an older post and saw the room as a whole, the picture adds great texture and warmth to the room.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to blogland, Ruthie!
DeleteI vote for the Shabby chi, mostly because the top is open and you can see all the cute little drawers and whatnot!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandy!
DeleteWow, liking the shabby chic but they're all great. I'm your newest follower!
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming by my place!
DeleteWhat you have is a spinet desk...may be mahogany under the paint probably from the early 20th century...I've wanted one for a long time.
ReplyDeleteA "spinet desk"! Great to know! Thank you so much for solving that mystery. AND, it is indeed mahogany! You are the furniture whisperer!
DeleteThe second version is my fave - I like the seeing the inside slots of the desk. (Does that just make me nosy?)
ReplyDeleteYou are talking to Queen Nosy!
DeleteI like both 2 and 3 a lot. If I were you, I would probably regularly switch between those two looks. My husband and I seem to change something about our house regularly. Even if it's just moving future around, it gives it a new feel.
ReplyDeleteI would love if you linked this post up to the Take it on Tuesday blog hop I'm hosting!
Thank you, Betsy!
DeleteMy vote is the last one! LOVE THEM ALL THO!

ReplyDeleteYAY! Thank you so much, Courtney! Thank you for sharing your beautiful posts and for being the hostess with the mostest!
