House TalkN is a fun lookiloo at houses, houses, houses. It will answer pressing questions like, "When folks build a McMansion on a small lot, what are they compensating for?" or "Was the real estate agent drunk when they staged this house?" or "Why don't the Smiths' ever leave their drapes open when I am on a harmless walk-by?"

Painting A China Cupboard!

A Splash Of Color!
You might remember that I am trying to add a little color to my white, white and white color scheme.
Paint is always a fun way to add a splash of color...right?
It's just paint...right?
Let's just say that this splash of color almost had me taking slow, deep breaths into a paper bag.
Here is a lookiloo at my dining room china cupboard color train wreck makeover.

BEFORE

I removed my mother's pink depression glass and painted the inside GREEN!

Let's all place our bets- how long until I break out the white paint?

  5. Oh I hope not- it looks AWESOME - and that is the BEST shade of green.

don't paint it back white- let it settle for a while- looks great with the milk glass and surely with your Mom's pink Depression collection - that green would go well with both, I love it.

btw your Pulp Fiction dancing in the hardware store was insanely hilarious, you are such a goofus!

  10. It's like a belly piercing. The first couple days after you do it you'll want to take it out And go back to "normal" because you're uncomfortable. But leave it alone for 2 weeks & you'll think it's cool. Trust me.
    Good job jumping into color!
