House TalkN is a fun lookiloo at houses, houses, houses. It will answer pressing questions like, "When folks build a McMansion on a small lot, what are they compensating for?" or "Was the real estate agent drunk when they staged this house?" or "Why don't the Smiths' ever leave their drapes open when I am on a harmless walk-by?"

HouseTalkN's Top Office Spaces!

My office is a desk in the corner of our family room that faces the action. I can shout commands, blow kisses, spy see outdoor shenanigans, spot a slacker, correct homework, give the hairy eyeball, and blog my little heart out- all from my desk in the corner.
I can't decide if I am more like the naughty child who has been sent to the corner or if I am more like the bossy teacher staring over my bifocals at all the frolicking and cavorting.

This is my widdle corner of the blogosphere...complete with coffee and chocolate.

Here are some offices that I have been drooling over...

I could barely enjoy the movie "Something's Gotta Give" because I was so distracted by the house! This is possibly the best office space EVER!

How about you? Do you have a swanky office?
If you could have one of these, which would you pick?

  1. The black book shelves with that comfy chair make me swoon. But am I completely inadequate that I actually need silly things like storage space and a printer in my work area? :) Ellen

    1. Right? I would write so much better if I could have that office...and I would write fancy schmancy things.

  2. My office is just kinda ok. I would like to change it but have other things I want/need/must change first.

I would pick #2 - it's perfect. Cept the bags on the floor, my cat would be digging in there in no time flat.

You're hilarious, giving the stink eye, hahahaha, love it.

    1. Oh, the marble! I swooned when I saw that!
I have a mean stink eye!

  3. Defintitely #2 is my style. It kind of makes me think that it is an enclosed back porch. That would be my choice if I could have an office that is indoor/outdoor, sunny and light, that would be my perfect world.

  4. Actually, I AM the bossy teacher staring over my bifocals. Trifocals.
I love the one with the lime and aqua (my new colors!) and ghost chairs, but it looks as though it's designed to be shared, and I'm not good at sharing. The one that would fit best in my house is the tiny one with marble counters. It has the right "vibe" for Brandywine. But I would have to put some color in, to distract me from my work.

  5. I loved my office until I checked out some of those, lol. It is black, white and green (somersault green - isn't that a great name?). I need more shelving though and it would possibly be perfect.

  8. We have an office, but I actually work sitting on the couch with my laptop in my lap (that appliance is appropriately named). I love the tall bookshelves office space. I adore the idea of having a large library, but instead everything goes on my Kindle. I miss holding paper books.
