House TalkN is a fun lookiloo at houses, houses, houses. It will answer pressing questions like, "When folks build a McMansion on a small lot, what are they compensating for?" or "Was the real estate agent drunk when they staged this house?" or "Why don't the Smiths' ever leave their drapes open when I am on a harmless walk-by?"

Humble Pie For Thanksgiving

Meet me In The Powder Room today to hear about the first Thanksgiving that I spent with my husband's family.
I knew that I was about to meet the people that my husband adored most in the world. What if they hated me? What if I hated them?
It was a whirlwind of practical jokes (theirs), humble pie (mine), and strong personalities (ours).
Do you have any "first holidays together" shenanigans to share?

    1. Thank you, Patty! I have a sister that lives too far to get back for these gatherings. We call each other no less than 87 times over the holidays!

  2. Love this post. One of my fave memories is my sister's margeritas at 8am to shore all the adults up for the screamathon of kids opening presents. The Christmas morning special that made Christmas morning real special.
