I kicked my boys out of their room and relocated them as far away from my bedroom as I could. Don't judge me until you have smelled the horror that is soccer cleats.
Their bedroom is now my mom office- THE MOFFICE 2! Trekking the 100 yards to the original moffice is not so fun in the freezing cold!
My moffice budget was...well...$0. Here is a look at how I pulled it together with pieces I already had.
I used a pie dish and a mug to contain my clutter.
When my FIL downsized, we inherited his desk, credenza and these two chairs. I can't bring myself to paint the chairs because they have teething marks from when my husband was a child...and apparently, very hungry. Our own children added some handy dandy artwork.
Which set of pillows do you like better?
That's right. I've gone wild with color. I even spray painted my white lamps GREEN!
TA-DA! My moffice!
I almost had heart failure when I found this guy at my desk. I hope my "friends" realize that breaking and entering is a crime.
How about you? Where do you work?

Hi Kerry,
ReplyDeleteI am loving the Moffice... that dresser you scored is fantastic! The colours ( Canadian spelling... ) are fabu and I vote for the yellow pillows because they scream personality and so do you!
Have a great day in your new pad.
Cynthia
Thank you, Cynthia! Do you have a dedicated work space?
DeleteMy studio... I love working in here... and reading your blog of course!!
Deletehttp://cynthiaweber.com/some-people-have-skeletons-in-their-closet-i-have-fabric/
I love it!!! And I prefer the yellow cushions. Come redecorate my office? Please.
ReplyDeleteOh, Ninja! Be careful what you ask for!
DeleteYou know that face that you make when you think something is not fair? Like when someone has on great pants or gets to hang out with OC longer than you do? That is the face I am making now looking at how AWESOME that looks. I am soooo amazed at how you can make things look so damn cute on a $0 budget. I do not have that skill...where did you learn this?
ReplyDeleteHA! I am making that face right now! Thank you for the empire dresser addition! Lock your doors because I'm on my way to your chic moffice right now!
DeleteLove it, love the yellow pillows, it all makes me ridiculously happy!
ReplyDeleteOur bedroom has a sitting area that I made into my Moffice. Yay us!
The yellow pillows were a gift...a nudge to add some freaking color! Thanks, Kim!
DeleteI likey all of it. The yellow pillows are fun! The green lamps are perfect too.
ReplyDeleteI have an office that I'm working on now too. Posted a picture of it today in all its glory. Sheesh!
YAY! I can't find your picture? Is it on facebook or your blog?
DeleteLove your MOFFIC decorating Kerry, it looks like a great place for you to plan your escapades. I vote yellow pillows. XO, Sue
ReplyDeleteIt's where all whacky ideas begin! Thanks, Sue!
DeleteI like it! I would not paint the chairs either, memories! Good job! I wish I had a space like this. Maybe some day when my oldest daughter is out of the house. But then, I will miss her.
ReplyDeleteNothing says "classy" like teeth marks and graffiti! Thanks, Nicki!
DeleteDefinitely the yellow pillows. There's something too Edgar Allen Poe raven-y about the bird pillows.
ReplyDeleteI was totally leaning toward the creepy pillows but peer pressure brought me to the yellow ones.
DeleteThank you!
Well, I vote for the bird pillows and I realize that is not thepopular opinion here. I just really like them so much better. XO, pinky
ReplyDeleteI knew I could count on you, Pinky! I love those, too!
DeleteThank you!
I love it! I envy your use of color, especially the rug. Clearly, I'm doing it wrong!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim! I have always been a white/beige/oatmeal kind of girl. This is the one room with color!
DeleteHi Kerry!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the moffice!!!! Color is what a happy Kerry is all about!!
I love the yellow pillows. If the bird was on a yellow back ground
that would be amazing.
Enjoy!!!
Pam

Oh, Pam. I don't know if I can take all the color. White makes me happy. I might go wild with a gallon of white explosion.
DeleteWhat a fun place to work!!! I don't know how y'all survive in the cold up there so I don't blame you at all for not wanting to leave the house to go to Moffice #1. I like both pillows but I think the bird pillow background ties in better to the seat cushion color and the size seems to be more compatable to the chair back size. I like that you are leaving the teething and artwork on the chairs.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Miss Kitty! It is soooooo cold right now. At least it snowed last night so it is pretty.
DeleteHi, Kerry
ReplyDeleteI love your office. It's lovely and I love those green lamps. What color and brand did you use? I would like to paint my lamps too. : ) By the way, those yellow pillows are divine. Found your lovely blog from Serenity link party. I am a new follower. Have a great weekend.
Love for you to stop by www.homesweetbutterfly.com
Hugs,
Vanessa
I nabbed multipurpose spray paint in kelly green. It was a quick and easy jazz up! Thank you so much, Vanessa!
DeleteLove your moffice! Those yellow and white pillows are gorgeous! I'm jealous of your space. My moffice is in a tiny corner in the master bedroom. Sigh. Someday!! :) Great ideas!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tricia! I used to work in a corner of our family room. The wild ruckus of family life was not optimal for working!
DeleteFabulous that you went with a lot of color, after all it's your Moffice! I have a lot of Tuscan/earthy colors everywhere in our home except my craft-sewing room. I went wild with color in here -- it's truly my happy space!
