What Does Your Dream Home Look Like?

My dream house is a brick colonial with a front porch. Visions of a summer night's happy hour dance in my head.
Take a lookiloo and tell me what your dream house looks like. Are you dreaming of a romantic, historic home? A swanky, modern retreat? Cottage Charmer? New construction all the way? Or, maybe you are a country girl dreaming of a farm house?

  4. I LOVE Craftsman Bungalows! I think the porches are amazing plus all of the architectural detail within. My husband will not even look at older homes, so I would need to find a new construction built with this style in mind. Boo!

  5. We built our dream home 11 years ago and I have to say we're pretty darn happy with it. I have (almost) everything I could want that we could afford. I LOVE the New England style house with the shingle siding and also the traditional colonial one (with the snow)....I'll skip the ultra modern one!

  6. I dream big. I say I'd take one of each. Except instead of ultra modern "home" I would switch it to a high rise Manhattan groovy contemporary apartment - that I visited in my jet now and then to shop and go to musicals on Broadway.

    But except for just a few changes here I am living in my dream home pretty much. I just need to build a porch, and shall as soon as I figure out exactly what I want.
